Built in 1979, the two-storey house maximises the view from a wooded bluff beside the Colorado River, above Lake Travis. Listing agency Estately describes the house as a “living sculpture – a view sanctuary for those seeking solitude and beauty”.

It has a strong, organic form – there’s scarcely a right-angle in the house. The roof is round, the walls are curved, and even the balconies pop out like fan shells.
